Martins Jacob is an accomplished oilfield services professional with over 29 years of international technical, operational, and management experience. He currently serves on the Technical Support Team at GLG (Gerson and Lehrman Group Inc.), New York, USA.
Previously, he was Well Services Country Manager for ExxonMobil and Noble on behalf of Schlumberger in Equatorial Guinea. His career spans multiple countries, including Nigeria, India, Angola, UAE, USA, Congo, Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, Ivory Coast, and Ghana, in progressively senior technical and management roles.
He has led complex field operations such as open-hole gravel pack completions in Agbami, Egina, Bonga, and Abo fields, integrating stimulation services into planning and execution.
Notably, he successfully implemented 12 multi-stage hydraulic fracturing operations using HighWAY Technology in Africa and Europe, achieving flawless service delivery, significant production growth, and business expansion from $14M/year to $25M/year with 52% profit.
He was among the first instructors at the Schlumberger Middle East and Asia Learning Centre (MLC) in Abu Dhabi (2008–2010), delivering technical training on hydraulic fracturing and stimulation to engineers and supervisors.
